PSG is not about Neymar–Zidane
Real Madrid vs. Paris Saint-Germain is just a few days away (get excited!) and ahead of the mouth-watering tie, Zinedine Zidane has been scouting his Champions League opponents while singling out a specific player.
And it's not Neymar.
The French giants are flying in Ligue 1, not to mention securing top spot in Group B ahead German champions Bayern Munich.
While PSG are 12 points clear of nearest rivals AS Monaco, Unai Emery now shifts his attention to their European venture in the shape of defending champions. Real Madrid.
Conversely, Real Madrid are enduring a somewhat nightmare campaign.
His side are 17 (!!) points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona, while clinching second spot in Group H behindTotteham HotSpurs.
A famous European night for Spurs.
As a result, Real Madrid have been paired with PSG.
And Zidane is well aware of PSG's 'stunning' form.
"We are in shape, we are motivated and we'll be facing a team that is having a stunning campaign," he told French radio station RTL via
Calciomercato .
"They have amazing players but we can find the right motivation with our fans. Benzema? He is motivated, just like the rest of his teammates. It will be a very important game. I am sure they will help each other on Wednesday.
Despite bagging an impressive double last season, Zidane is under mounting pressure following their poor start to the new campaign.
"Being a manager can be very hard. You are always under pressure and it happens everywhere, doesn't matter which team you are in charge of," Zidane added.
Before pin pointing the threat of Kylian Mbappe who's weighed in with 15 goals in all competitions.
"PSG is full of top players, we'll be very hard for us. I think Mbappé can be very important for them. He is so strong despite his young age. It will hard for us to stop him and his teammates.
