Akwa crushed Niger Tornadoes 3-2 on punishments to win the 2017 Aiteo Cup, their second glass title in their history.
They will speak to Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup close by Enyimba.
An announcement from the club on their Facebook peruses: "Pioneer Aiteo Cup victors and CAF Confederation Cup contenders for 2018 season Akwa United Football Club of Uyo have reported Thursday November second, 2017 as the date for resumption of preparing in front of the new Nigeria Professional Football League season.
"Players and Coaches are ordered to answer to camp in Uyo prior to Thursday November second as the primary instructional course will occur on Friday November third at 8:00am incite.
"The group left on a finish of the season break few days subsequent to lifting the current year's Aiteo Cup. The Promise Keepers will contend in three rivalries next season; the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL, Aiteo Cup and the CAF Confederation Cup."
