45 golfers compete for $50,000

No less than 45 golfers are by and by battling for an offer of 50,000 Dollars prize cash at the progressing West Africa Golf (WAG) Tour.


The second version of the competition labeled: 'The Nigeria Master', started yesterday at IBB International Golf and Country Club in Abuja.

The players are from seven nations, in particular; Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Senegal, Trinidad and Tobago, Zimbabwe and Zambia.

The President of WAG visit, Emeka Okatta said the champ will get the coat and 6,000 dollars and the coat of 'The Masters'.

In the wake of winning the last competition of the WAG Tour 'The Nation@57' and the Ivory Coast Open a week ago, Vincent Torgah is one of the top choices for the title.

Be that as it may, the field has numerous contenders searching for the trophy of this real competition, including new players from Zambia and Zimbabwe who have joined the Tour.

Okatta stated, "11 new players from Zambia, Zimbabwe and Senegal have joined the visit," including that the gigantic prize cash will make the opposition furious.

On his part, Torgah, from Ghana said he was up to the assignment and will go for the best prize.

"My eyes are on the trophy," he said. "My endeavors at the last visit has given the certainty to go the distance for this trophy here in Abuja."

'The Masters', the second significant competition of the 2017 season, will complete on Sunday, 29 October.
